The New York Giants are in the midst of a playoff run in the NFC East. They could either win the division out-right, or miss the playoffs all together. Basically, they just need to handle their business and they can control their own playoff destiny.
In order for these things to fall into place for them, they’ll need everyone to play their best. Unfortunately, they’ll be without their best offensive weapon, Odell Beckham, Jr. Beckham has been suspended one game by the league for his actions on Sunday vs. the Carolina Panthers’ Josh Norman.
It was a matchup between one of the best WRs and DBs, and emotions ran high. Beckham was flagged three times for personal fouls including one reckless helmet to helmet hit on Norman out of frustration.
Beckham and union officials had a conference call Monday night to discuss the appeal procedure, sources said. They plan to file an official letter of appeal Tuesday and request a hearing date for Wednesday. Sources on both sides believe it could be resolved Wednesday but acknowledge that scheduling conflicts of the individuals involved could push it back to later in the week.
