Pelicans Fire Monty Williams After Solid Season

Making the playoffs in the NBA’s Western Conference isn’t easy to do. Each year, teams that would cause damage in the East are home for the playoffs just because they so happen to play their home games west of the Mississippi River.

This is why the Pelicans firing Monty Williams is a huge shock. The Pelicans were without Anthony Davis for certain stretches during the year, but they still managed to find their way in to the postseason. Granted they were swept in the first round by Golden State, just take a look at what the team has accomplished the past few seasons.
