Twitter accounts of professional sports teams have become some of the biggest Twitter trolls out there. At first, it was a novelty when the tweets were slick, but now it has gotten old.
Tonight the Houston Rockets finished off the Dallas Mavericks in 5 games and at the conclusion of the game, the Rockets Twitter account decided to take a shot at the Mavs (of course, it has since been deleted, but here’s a screenshot):
YOOOOOOO Houston Rockets’ Twitter handle has NO CHILL! pic.twitter.com/xp8ViugEnp

To which the Mavericks replied:
@HoustonRockets Not very classy but we still wish you guys the best of luck in the next round.

This made guy who runs the Rockets Twitter handle (who probably will lose his job) to realize his initial tweet was just dumb:
Our Tweet earlier was in very poor taste & not indicative of the respect we have for the @dallasmavs & their fans. We sincerely apologize.
