MLB Players Vote Bryce Harper as Most Overrated

Once upon a time, Bryce Harper was said to be a stronger prospect than Mike Trout. Several years later, that couldn’t be any farther from the truth. But that’s no knock on Harper, though. He will be a very solid player for a very long time, provided he can stay healthy.

Each year, ESPN polls MLBers are a variety of topics. One such questions asked the 117 players who they feel is the most overrated. Bryce Harper received a whopping 41% of that vote. Yasiel Puig was second, but you have to wonder how much of that has to do with the disdain some players have towards him.

Mike Trout 61 percent
Miguel Cabrera 10 percent
Clayton Kershaw 8 percent

Who is the most overrated player in MLB?

Bryce Harper 41 percent
Yasiel Puig 15 percent
