Jim Harbaugh’s departure from San Francisco seemed imminent for the majority of the season. His in-your-face approach sis more suited for college kids, rather than guys who make more money that he does. He should do well at Michigan.
He signed on to coach the Wolverines for $5 million per year, which right away puts him in the top-10 highest paid college football coaches. But is he worth that much? He doesn’t think so. Nor should he feel guilty about that.
Asked if he’s worth that much, Harbaugh said “no.” Then, when LeDuff suggested he give it back, Harbaugh explained.
“Naw. I like making a buck just like the next guy. I’m not doing five times as much work as somebody else or doing more work than someone who’s not the head football coach at the University of Michigan so, to answer your question, honestly, I would have to say no.”
