Last night in a game in New Orleans vs. the Pelicans, Kobe Bryant injured his right shoulder forcing him to shoot a lefty jumper before being pulled out of the game. For him to do that, you know it had to be pretty serious.
As it turns out, Kobe suffered a tear of the rotator cuff, per the Lakers on Twitter. He’ll fly back to Los Angeles and a timetable for his return is unknown, but you have to wonder if he’ll play again, given Byron Scott said he’d be open to shutting Kobe down for the remainder of the season.
Update: Kobe Bryant had an MRI exam, preliminary results show a tear of the rotator cuff. He will fly back to LA. pic.twitter.com/EOZTuuKjoL
