Now that Josh Gordon is back on the field, he has the chance to see how people react towards him after being suspended for 12 games for violating the NFL’s league substance abuse policy.
In his first week back, Gordon picked up where he left off, catching 8 passes for more than 100 yards. In a sitdown interview with Nate Burleson of the NFL Network, Gordon explained how some people within the Browns locker room treat him:
Nate Burleson: What was your lowest point?
Josh Gordon: The lowest point in all of this…friends you thought you were cool with are really not checking on you, not hitting you up, not wanting to hang out. As far as even people in [Browns locker room], you know, I don’t want to throw names around, but I can see it. I’m definitely really observant, so I can see how people might just be more standoffish.”
If the Browns continue to win and get into the playoffs thanks to Gordon’s contributions, these alleged teammates will surely get over it.
