Kobe Bryant once famously said that he would rather go 0-for-30 from the field during a game than 0-for-9. He believes that if you’re having a bad shooting night and you stop shooting, you’ve been defeated. That’s his mentality.
With that as a backdrop, Kobe Bryant is on the brink of a pretty dubious distinction. Per a Kobe-centric video montage put together by ESPN, Bryant is just 99 missed field goals away from being the most all-time (hat-tip to our friends at The Hoop Doctors). He trails only John Havlicek. Hondo can rest easy because Kobe should have that record before we even get to December.
