Modern medicine is a wonderful thing, isn’t it? If Paul George broke his leg in the same fashion about 60 years ago, he probably would no longer have that leg. But here were are, about two months removed from his compound fracture and he has been medically cleared to put weight on that leg, per the AP:
“He’s down to one crutch or no crutches,” coach Frank Vogel said Thursday at the team’s annual golf outing near Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “For the past three or four weeks, he’s been doing core work, upper body work in the weight room, and they want him to put weight on it.”
That may not seem like much, but that’s a huge step considering where he’s coming from. He’ll be running before we know it.
