When the 2014 NFL season kicks off in a few months, the San Francisco 49ers will have new digs. They will be playing in their brand new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, and it was just announced that the Niners have sold out for their inaugural season in the new stadium.
As is the case with every new facility, it offers something that we’ve never seen before. Something that sets them apart. Levi’s Stadium’s claim to fame, perhaps, will be its innovative food options for patrons, as this is the first stadium to offer in-seat delivery to every fan. “The team will use mobile technology and GPS tracking to locate fans and deliver orders to each seat. Every concession stand also will have an express pick up for those who want to order in advance and don’t want to wait,” explains ESPN’s Darren Rovell.
GPS tracking. To receive your food. Welcome to 2014.
