Kobe Cuts European Vacation Short to Attend Lakers Free Agent Pitch to Melo

Over the past few weeks, Kobe Bryant has been all over the map it seems. He was in Brazil for the World Cup and most recently, he was vacationing in Greece. But perhaps he cut his vacation a bit short.

Carmelo Anthony is set to visit with the Lakers today and according to ESPN, he headed back from Europe to be a part of this Melo meeting and Lakers’ pitch:

Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Kobe Bryant flew in late Wednesday night from a European vacation so he could attend and play a key part in the team’s pitch to free-agent forward Carmelo Anthony on Thursday, sources with knowledge of the situation said.

This was nice for Kobe to do, but I don’t think it will have any impact on what Melo ultimately decides. Kobe could’ve saved his time and just called Melo and made his pitch
