The Indiana Pacers have found themselves in a 2-1 series hole vs. the Atlanta Hawks after dropping game 3 on the road. They looked good in game 2, but it’s looking more likely that they may not get out of this round.
A big reason for that is Roy Hibbert. His decline over the course of this season has been alarming and that’s continued into the playoffs. The 7’2″ big man amassed a grand total of four points and two rebounds in game 3 and is averaging roughly six points and four rebounds for the series.
Following the game, Pacers coach Frank Vogel was asked if he will stick with Hibbert in the starting lineup in game 4. His answer didn’t sound too sure or convincing:
Vogel on if Hibbert would be his starter in Game 4: “We’ll see. He’s our anchor. We won 56 games with him as our starter. Probably.”
