DeSean Jackson is reportedly set to meet with the Redskins today after being cut by the Eagles last week. In fact, minutes after hearing the news, my initial thought was “he’s going to the Redskins.” Why? Two reasons: Washington could really use him, and I’m sure Jackson would love to face his old team as often as possible, so staying in-division would appeal to him. And for some reason the Giants and Cowboys didn’t seem to register with me.
However, according to TMZ, Jackson and Robert Griffin III already met. There were reportedly together last weekend in California and spent a considerable amount of time together. That doesn’t mean a deal is in place, but it certainly seems like something may be in the hopper.
Per TMZ Sports:
“There are several teams that have reportedly expressed interest in Jackson — but with the meeting between RG3 and DJ, it looks like the Redskins could have an edge.”
