Florida Panthers’ President Leaves Team to Work For Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports

Not only is Jay Z stealing players from other agents, but he’s apparently taking front office executives from teams too.

Michael Yormark, president of the NHL’s Florida Panthers is leaving the team to join Jay’s Roc Nation Sports to help run the business side of the company, according to NBC Miami.

At this point, it’s unclear as to the pre-existing relationship between Yormark and Jay, but it’s interesting that Jay is tapping into NHL channels as his business grows.

Will this become a trend we should keep our eyes on? From NBC Miami:

The team is expected to formally announce the move later this week.

Yormark has been with Sunrise Sports and Entertainment, the company that runs the Panthers and the BB&T Center, since 2003, starting out as COO and becoming president in 2007.
