There was a time when you heard the words “$100 million contract” in sports, and you were in awe. Thanks to baseball, that’s no longer the case. In fact, we’re almost at the point where when yo hear “$200 million contract”, it’s not a big deal either. Thanks go baseball, again.
The Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw is the newest member of the $200 million baseball club and the first pitcher to the tune of a 7-year, $215M deal, via Ramona Shelburne:

Given the state of baseball contracts, and the fact that he’s only 25, it’s hard to argue this.
