Bulls Trade Luol Deng to Cleveland For Andrew Bynum

The remainder of Andrew Bynum’s contract becomes guaranteed on January 7, therefore the Cavaliers made the wise move and traded the disgruntled, probably-doesn’t-care-about-basketball-anymore big man, and draft picks, to Chicago for Luol Deng, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The Bulls have been on the fence with Deng for a while and this move indicates that they’re in rebuilding mode since they’ll probably cut Bynum in order to clear cap space.

“The moves today will put us in a better position to make the entire roster stronger for the future and to compete for a championship,” general manager Gar Forman said in a statement.
