In the NBA’s never-ending attempt to share the league with the rest of the world, the Spurs and Timberwolves were supposed to play a game tonight in Mexico City. However, the game has been canceled as the arena filled with smoke.
According to ESPN, a generator outside of the arena malfunctioned and sent massive amounts of smoke into the building. Needless to say, the facility wasn’t in condition to host a basketball game.
This game will be made up at a later date in Minnesota. From the league’s standpoint, it’s unfortunate this had to happen during one of their international endeavors.
