Robert Griffin III Benched in Favor of Kirk Cousins

This was bound to happen. In fact, it’s surprising this didn’t happen sooner. From the beginning of the season, Robert Griffin III didn’t look himself and it has shown throughout much of the season. Under normal circumstances, he probably would’ve been benched weeks ago, but what’s going on in Washington is anything but normal.

While being embarrassed at home vs. the Chiefs 45-10, Kirk Cousins came out to QB to team early in the 4th quarter.

However, I wouldn’t read too much into this. I’d assume Griffin will be the starter next week (barring an amazing performance from Cousins). This loss doesn’t fall squarely on Griffin’s shoulders. The entire team played poorly: offense, defense and special teams.

  1. I HAVE BEEN A DIE HARD REDSKIN FAN FOR 35 YRS. THROUGH GOOD AND BAD SEASONS, THE TEAM ALWAYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT. SO WHAT HAPPENS TO A TEAM WITH GREAT PLAYERS THAT WINS THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP AND RETURNS THE VERY NEXT SEASON TO LOOK PITIFUL? THERE ARE SOME HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS THAT PROBABLY COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A ROUGH TIME.FRANKLY, I’M EMBARRASSED. THEY HYPED UP RG III AND IGNORED OTHER PLAYERS. SOLUTION: TRADE RG II, FIRE HEA D COACH AND SON, MAKE COUSINS STARTER QB. I’M DONE WITH THE SKINS FOR THIS SEASON.
HORRIFIC SEASON. THE SECONDARY HAS NO CLUE ON PASS DEFENSE.
