Mike Woodson’s seat in New York is reportedly red hot. The Knicks are tied for second-worst record in the league and that typically doesn’t bode well for a coach, regardless of injuries.
If/when Woodson is shown the door, Jeff Van Gundy could be a possible replacement. He’d be a familiar face and certainly knows the game. I just wonder if he’d have any interest in inheriting this current situation.
The Post has also learned that if Dolan eventually makes a move, old enemy and ex-Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy would not be ruled out as a future candidate — though such a hire seems more sensible in the offseason if Dolan goes with an interim coach.
