Michael Crabtree tore his Achilles right before the start of the season. That used to be the type of injury that would keep a guy out a year. But in 2013, that’s no longer the case for athletes apparently, as he will be activated by the 49ers today and will be on the field this Sunday, according to Adam Schefter.
San Francisco can really use him. Coming into last night’s game vs. Washington, they were dead last in the league in passing yards per game. Crab will help stretch the field and help the Niners secure a playoff spot, which has looked in doubt over the past few weeks.
