Dr. James Andrews Clears Robert Griffin III to Play

Throughout the course of the offseason, it had been reported that Robert Griffin III was both cleared to return, and that he had not been cleared to return. The decision that really mattered was that of Dr. James Andrews, who performed the surgery on Griffin.

The two met yesterday and according to Griffin on Twitter, he got the final seal of approval from Doc, by tweeting:

I still feel that Griffin is being rushed back. Being medically cleared a week and a half from starting your first game back is the very definition of rushing back. This feel eerily similar to the end of last season, which got him injured in the first place.
