I get it, I really do: Jay Z is very serious about Roc Nation Sports and athlete representation, but he needs to pump his brakes a tad.
Jay, who recently did away with the hyphen in his name (in case you missed that breaking news), reportedly has his eye on South Carolina’s Jadaveon Clowney who made headlines during a game vs. Michigan last year. Clowney appears to be the most complete defensive college football player we have seen in a long time.
It makes perfect sense that Jay would be interested, but because he runs a sports agency, rules forbid him from being in contact with an amateur athlete who is a part of the NCAA. That is a huge violation, if this is in fact what has happened.
And as we’ve seen time and time again, the NCAA doesn’t care who you are; you can feel their unnecessary wrath. In theory this could cost Jadaveon the rest of his collegiate eligibility. I may be overstating this because I have no clue if the two have ever communicated, but it’s enough for South Carolina to look into, according to NFL.com. How terrible would that be for both Clowney and Jay Z if that were to be the case?
