I typically agree with most things Jay-Z does, but I’m not sure this one was necessary. Jay-Z’s “Magna Carta Holy Grail” album drops today and he decided to take a shot at baseball super-agent, Scott Boras on a track entitled “Crown.”
Because Jay stole client Robinson Cano from Boras, Scott has come out in opposition of Jay’s agent endeavor. Obviously, Boras isn’t familiar with Jay or the power he has. Jay has every right to respond to Boras, but I’m not sure doing it in his record was best. He could’ve just responded by regular channels.
Either way, here’s the line where he mentions Boras
“Scott Boras, you over baby/ Robinson Cano, you coming with me.”
That’s before he goes into his typical bragging-rap. (But so would I).
