Video: Maple Leafs Blow 4-1 3rd Period Lead in Game 7 to Boston, Lose in OT

This was the first time in nine seasons that the Toronto Maple Leafs made the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and they decided to celebrate by choking away a 4-1 lead in the 3rd period of Game 7 and lose in OT to the Boston Bruins. This was a historic collapse.

Perhaps the Leafs were in cruise control and took their skates off the gas. Either way, they allowed Boston to tie it up in the final period.

And in the OT session, Boston’s Patrice Bergeron completed the comeback for the 5-4 win.

Here’s the epic game-clinching goal.
