Yesterday, the unspeakable happened in Massachusetts when two explosives went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Whenever tragedy strikes, it impacts everyone and everything around it and helps in keeping thing in perspective.
The Boston Celtics were supposed to host the Indiana Pacers tonight, but in light of recent events the game has been canceled, according to NBA.com. Not postponed, cancelled. It will not be made up given the fact the playoffs start so soon.
This will mark the first time in NBA history that not all teams will play a full 82-game schedule, but it’s certainly the right thing to do.
The Boston Celtics’ home game against the Indiana Pacers scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled because of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The NBA says Monday that the game will not be rescheduled. TNT, which was originally scheduled to air the game, will now show the Hawks host the Raptors at 8 p.m. ET.
