If you didn’t know who Michigan’s Spike Albrecht was a week ago, don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Spike has been one of the more unheralded Michigan players during their run to the title game. Until last night.
In the first half of last night’s championship game, Albrecht was on fire, pouring in 17 points – in just the first half. His name was on the tip of everyone’s tongue and he was trending on Twitter.
But as expected, he didn’t sustain that the entire game and disappeared in the second half. However, that doesn’t mean people forgot about him. Looking to capitalize on his 15 minutes of fame, Spike has taken a great leap of faith and has tried to “spit game” (as the kids say) to Kate Upton via Twitter. That’s the way to go, Spike. Good luck with that, though.
@kateupton hey saw you at the game last night, thanks for coming out! Hope to see you again
