Metta World Peace Needs Knee Surgery, Out Six Weeks

The Lakers’ Metta World Peace tweaked his knee a few nights ago vs. the Golden State Warriors and missed the entire second half of that game. Following the game, it was ruled that World Peace was diagnosed with a torn meniscus.

But no one could’ve expected this.

According to Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register, MWP needs surgery and will be out six weeks.

It goes without saying that this doesn’t help L.A.’s playoff chances. But with Pau Gasol back, hopefully they don’t suffer to much of a setback because the playoffs are much more interesting if the Lakers are there.
