ESPN Suspends Bill Simmons From Twitter [Video]

Bill Simmons can be very opinionated and that’s part of the reason why he’s a member of ESPN’s NBA studio crew (although Magic Johnson never seems to care to hear his opinion). But he apparently committed the cardinal sin when he talked negatively about another ESPN program.

A few days ago, the outspoken cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, Richard Sherman was a guest on ESPN’s First Take, and he and Skip Bayless went at it. The back-and-forth banter was sophomoric, childish and embarrassing. Simmons though so as well because he tweeted the following:

He followed that up with: “I am not defending this segment – http://youtu.be/j6x-O3kb1sI  – I thought it was awful and embarrassing to everyone involved. Seriously.”

According to Deadspin, Simmons has been suspended from Twitter for 3 days due to his critical (but accurate) comments about First Take. Simmons isn’t untouchable after all. What a joke all the way around.

For whatever it’s worth, Skip is right. Sherman’s production is being overlooked by his mouth.
