Ray Lewis to Join ESPN Next Season?

Well, that certainly didn’t take long. The tears are barely dried on the faces of Raves faithful and NFL fans on the heels of Ray Lewis announcing that he will retire at the end of this playoff run. He’s the type of guy that simply cannot picture the game without. He will definitely be missed.

But he won’t be missed by much since he’ll still be relevant and visible. Ray is very close to having deal in place with ESPN to serve as an analyst with them following this season. That should be interesting and will do wonders for their ratings.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who will retire at the end of this season, is close to signing a multiyear contract with ESPN, according to a published report.

Lewis is expected to have a significant role on “Monday Night Countdown” while being featured on numerous platforms, multiple sources told SI.com. An ESPN spokesperson declined comment when contacted Thursday morning.

According to the report, Lewis and his representatives met during the season with several NFL broadcast networks.
