The Lakers hosted the Thunder Friday night, and on the surface, that sounds like a great game to cap off the week. But, no. The Lakers aren’t the Lakers any more and I have serious doubts about them making the playoffs.
The Thunder beat the Lakers 116 – 101 and it wasn’t even that close. The only reason Kevin Durant scored just 42 points is because OKC was up by so much after the 3rd quarter, he didn’t log many more minutes after that. He easily could’ve had a double-nickel.
But the game was so bad down the stretch that Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler couldn’t take it any longer. They surrendered their expensive court side seat and headed for the exits with 7 minutes remaining in the game:
