The Washington Redskins have been the punchline of the NFC East for more than a decade now. But now with Robert Griffin III at the helm, they can’t be taken lightly any longer as they are one win away from winning the division for the first time in more than 10 years. As result of Griffin’s stellar play this year, he has been rewarded with a Pro Bowl roster spot. That is one heck of an accomplishment for a rookie.
Conversely, other standout rookie signal callers were not named to the squad: Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson. Neither was Griffin’s teammate Alfred Morris. Griffin was the only rookie on either side of the ball to be named.
And oh yeah, Griffin made the squad over Drew Brees.
