NFL — 08 October 2012
Coming into the game Sunday night vs. the Chargers, the Saints’ Drew Brees was tied with Johnny Unitas for the most consecutive games played while throwing a TD pass with 47.
In the first quarter, Drew surpassed Unitas for #1 on the list with 48.
Just think about that for a second: 48 consecutive games. That is probably a top 3 QB achievement, although it is rarely talked about. It is an underrated accomplishment for sure. His name won’t have the cache of Peyton or Brady from his era, but Drew Brees is one the greatest QBs ever.
