Several months ago, Kevin Durant took a shot at ESPN’s Skip Bayless. Skip said it didn’t bother him, but I’m sure it did. Especially since he’s an Oklahoma native who raves about Durant being his favorite player.
Then earlier today, LeBron James sent out a tweet revealing that he and Durant still workout together, just like they did last season:
Just finished a great workout with @kdtrey5. On court work, ran the hill and finished running the football field. #StriveforGreatness

I have a problem with this. After losing in the Finals to LeBron to the point where it brought him to tears, KD shouldn’t be so “buddy-buddy” with LeBron to this level. Sure, they can still remain friends but how does it look to Thunder fans that they are working out together? I don’t doubt that the intentions are completely innocent, but the perception is off. Times have certainly changed in the NBA, because this never would’ve happened between two rivals a mere 15 years ago.
Well, Bayless found out about this news and let KD know his thoughts.
My fave player, KDurant, again falls into LeBron’s trap, working out & buddying up w/ him. No, KD! Destroyed u in Finals b/c didn’t fear u.

Wake up, KD: LeBron is keeping his friends close and his enemy closer. You’re letting him OWN you.

Durant should’ve kept quiet, but instead replied (which has since been deleted from his Twitter account):
“@RealSkipBayless u brainwashing these people out here, they think since you on espn you know what u talkin bout…please, nobody owns me,”
I have to agree with Bayless here. But Durant shouldn’t give him so much attention. That’s exactly what Skip wants.

biggie
Obviously I’m LBJ’s biggest fan, but the Kid KD man he’s just special everything he does amazes me, I know Kobe doesn’t do such and such, again but I think times have really changed so I’m not going to cruficy durant for his other decisions in life
