Iverson, Jason Williams to Join Ball Up Streetball Tour in China

I continue to fail to believe that Allen Iverson is incapable of helping an NBA team in any role. It’s unfortunate that a legend (yes, he is a legend) has to go out the manner in which he has: begging for work.

He has stated numerous times that he has changed his tune and is willing to come off the bench now, as long as he can just get back in the League. Still, no suitors. For all intents and purposes, his career is over. It is highly unlikely that he’ll be able to latch on with a squad. And if it doesn’t happen this off-season, it will never happen.

But something else will happen: him playing with Ball Up. According to Ball is Life, A.I. will join the Ball Up streetball tour when they head to China for games October 18-28. Apparently, former NBAer Jason Williams will make an appearance as well.

I checked out the tour in Baltimore a few months ago, and chatted with The Professor, Air Up There and Pat The Roc. Be sure to keep an eye out for this. At least we’ll get to see A.I. out there.
