The Boston Red Sox have become something of a joke this season. And that’s unfortunate, given their great run over the past 10 years or so. After shipping out all of their key players a few weeks ago, they appear to be beginning a rebuild. Not to mention the fact that skipper Bobby Valentine may be one and done.
Valentine was a guest on WEEI in Boston, with Glenn Ordway and Michael Holley, when things got a big heated. It started off fine, but took a turn for the worse when Ordway asked Bobby Valentine if he had “checked out” on the season.
To that, Valentine replied, “What an embarrassing this to say. You know, if I was there I’d punch you right in the mouth”
In Bobby’s defense, the question certainly was uncalled for and was asked in a snarky way. But in the same breath, that can be labeled at a threat.
