Right before the U.S Open was set to begin, Andy Roddick announced that this would be his final tournament and would retire at the conclusion. He’s barely 30 years old, but he’s not what he was a mere 3 years ago.
Today, Roddick fell to Juan Martin Del Potro in four sets. After the match, Andy addressed the crowed in a tearful, heartfelt goodbye.
At least he got to go out on his own terms:
