Even as his skills diminish, his celebrity rises. After joining the L.A. Galaxy of the MLS some years ago, Bekham’s appeal in the U.S. has taken off. So much so that someone thought the world needed a 10-foot tall, half-naked, silver statue of him. And not just anywhere; New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I missed the memo.
