When he was a New York Giant, Tiki Barber was revered. Now, he’s a punchline and strongly disliked by most. He retired at the height of his game, then bad-mouthed some former teammates and failed at his broadcasting gig.
During all of this, he was going through a divorce. Well, he just tied the knot with his former mistress whom he cheated on his now ex-wife with when she was 8 months pregnant with twins. The only thing dumber than an athlete/former-athlete getting married, is getting married twice. Good luck with that, Tiki.
Former Giants running back Tiki Barber, 37, tied the knot with 23-year-old Traci Lynn Johnson at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau yesterday — just eight days after his divorce became final.
“It’s a great day,” a beaming Tiki said on the way in. “We’re finally getting married.”
Barber ditched his then-wife, Ginny, in 2010 for Johnson, a Maxim pinup girl and former intern at NBC, where he worked on the “Today” show.
Ginny, his wife of 11 years, was eight-months pregnant with the couple’s twin daughters at the time.
Barber and Johnson had planned to get hitched on May 12 in the Hamptons, but his divorce wasn’t finalized in time and the ceremony had to be called off.
Barber told The Post last year that Johnson helped him through a tough stretch after he was fired from “Today.”
“I have a wonderful girlfriend who loves me and got me through those bad times,” he said.
