A few years ago, something strange started happening with Rajon Rondo: he began feeling himself a bit too much. Not literally, of course. But meaning that he began to get over-confident. Even though he’s somewhat mild-mannered, if you believe the reports, he’s a locker room headache. But I thought that was primarily just to the coaching staff. Apparently, his teammates can’t stand him either and that’s part of the reason why Ray Allen decided to leave Boston for Miami. From Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski’s Twitter account:
The deterioration of Ray Allen’s relationship with Rajon Rondo played a significant factor in his leaving for Miami, several sources tell Y!

Rondo’s other teammates don’t have the same problem with him. KG even came back because of Rondo, according to Rivers. If there are any issues between Rondo and Ray, it’s both ways. Don’t talk as if it’s all Rondo’s fault.
The Kevin Burke Project
I’m not sure what Rondo’s relationship with KG has to do with Rondo and Ray Allen. That couldn’t be any more irrelevant. Here’s the key: the Celtics nearly traded Rondo (a top-notch PG who probably isn’t even in his prime yet), solely because he’s a headache to deal with. When have you ever heard of such a thing? In Ray Allen’s 16 year career, I don’t ever recall teammates, coaches, etc. complaining about how difficult he is to deal with.
You say “Don’t talk as if it’s all Rondo’s fault”. I never did. But I’ll say this: Don’t give him a pass either. The headline simply reads “Rondo Helped Run Ray Allen Out of Boston”. I don’t think that’s inaccurate.
