Former #1 overall pick Mario Williams was the most coveted free agent this off-season not named Peyton Manning. It seemed apparent that Williams was not returning to Houston and we knew that his first stop to visit was Buffalo. I was of the belief that Buffalo needed to do everything in their power to make sure he did not leave that city without signing that contract. If that meant locking him in a room with nothing but food, water, the contract and a pen, then so be it. Because, if he left without being signed, the likelihood of him visiting other teams and coming back to Buffalo to sign were slim. Williams received a 6-year, $96M contract with $50M guaranteed.
