I’m glad Alex Smith got over it and realized that this is a business. I mean, we were talking about Peyton Manning. And after the Dolphins signed David Garrard, there really wasn’t a place for Alex in Miami. There really isn’t a place for Alex anywhere aside from San Francisco. Apparently, the 49ers offered Alex a 3-year, $24M deal the day before they reached out to Peyton, and rumor has it that Alex that it was a low-ball offer. Terms of this deal have not been disclosed as of yet.
